Hotel Rules and Regulations – Continental Hotels SA

Dear Guests,

As hosts, we want to provide you with an exceptional experience in terms of cleanliness, safety and comfort.
These rules aim to establish conditions for the tourists accommodation at Continental Hotels chain, by developing rules of conduct that support our guests.
These rules are based on industry standards, our internal procedures and experience in the hospitality industry. They will be deemed accepted by our guests upon booking, and by signing the check-in registration form all policies and conditions of these rules are accepted and adhered to.

The house rules can change at any time. They are posted at the hotel reception and will be updated on the continentalhotels.ro website.
In order for us to achieve our goals of guest safety and comfort, so that you come back to us with pleasure every time, please consider the following rules.

  • Tourist / Guest is any person who benefits from any service provided by Continental Hotels;
  • Check-in is done at the hotel’s reception desk, presenting your ID for electronic guest registration, filling in all documents as required by law, in order to receive the key/access card for the reserved room;
  • The payment for the accommodation services must be made at the latest at the reception desk, at the time of arrival or at the time of the accommodation procedure. From the moment the key/access card is collected from the reception desk until it is returned, the guest is responsible for the booked room;
  • The persons visiting tourists staying in the hotel must be notified about at the reception desk. The visitors must leave the hotel by 23.00 at the latest. The number of tourists in a hotel room may NOT be higher than the number of places in that room;
  • Any accident resulted from the improper use of the provided items or from the non-compliance with these rules is the responsibility of the tourist. The tourist is financially liable for any damage and/or destruction of equipment, furniture, technical devices belonging to the hotel, because of his/her fault or that of his/her visitors.
  • Minors up to 14 years of age may only be accommodated if accompanied by their parents or legal tutors, except for those on hiking, camps, travels, competitions or other similar actions, accompanied by their teachers, coaches and guides from the organizers of those actions. Minors between 14 and 18 years of age may be accommodated only with their tutor’s consent/agreement, which must be shown at the reception desk.
  • Any accident resulted from the improper supervision of children in the rooms or on the hotel’s premises is the responsibility of the accompanying person(s);
  • The hotel will not be held liable in case of an incident involving vehicles in the hotel’s parking area;
  • The hotel reserves the right to refuse services to guests who disturb the quiet stay of other guests;
  • The hotel accepts pets under 10kg in standard rooms. Only one pet per room is allowed for a fee and the guests bear full responsibility for any damage caused by their pet. Pets must be kept on a leash in common areas. For hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed in the hotel’s restaurant;
  • Tourists staying at Continental Hotels are informed at the time of signing the accommodation registration form about their personal data processing in accordance with the General Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 on the protection of personal data.
The following are forbidden in hotel:

  • accommodation of intoxicated tourists and tourists behaving inappropriately or using indecent/offensive language towards hotel staff and other guests;
  • smoking and vaping (electronic cigarettes) in the rooms and on all hotel premises, according to the Law 349/2002 concerning the prevention and fighting the effects of tobacco consumption (as amended). Any breach of this prohibition will result in the refusal of hotel services, cancellation of contracted services and payment of a cleaning fee of 500 lei.
  • introduction and/or use of easily flammable materials or large electrical consumers (e.g. stoves, heaters, kettles, etc.) in the hotel;
  • introduction/consumption in the room of food from public catering facilities, without room service;
  • bringing/consuming food from outside the hotel in the rooms;
  • placing objects and/or food on the outside window sill;
  • use of loud audio systems within the hotel;
  • use of the room items for purposes other than those for which they are intended. Guests may not use towels for wiping dyed hair, removing make-up, cleaning shoes, suitcases, floors, etc. The towels are for body use only;
  • use and/or storage of weapons, blank weapons or substances prohibited by law, within the hotel;
  • consumption or sale of hallucinogenic or psychotropic substances within the hotel, as punishable under the laws in force;
  • access to the hotel’s staff areas (kitchen, storerooms, offices, etc.);
  • leaving luggage or other items unattended in the lobby or hallways;
  • pets in the restaurant/bar/breakfast area;
Our guests must:
  • not take items from the hotel’s equipment and/or which do not belong to them (towels, linen, decorative items, etc.) on their departure;
  • not damage the hotel’s equipment; if they do, they will pay an amount equal to the value of the damaged item plus the related labor;
  • use their booked rooms and the hotel’s common areas and not enter other rooms or areas where tourists are not allowed;
  • not leave children unattended;
  • comply with the maximum number of persons allowed in lifts and not leave children alone in the lift;
  • report as soon as possible any malfunction of the hotel’s equipment or facilities;
  • respect and keep the peace and quiet of the hotel, and behave appropriately towards other hotel guests;

Failure to comply with these rules entitles the hotel to request the assistance of the authorities in order to establish peace and order inside the hotel, and to cancel the reservation and / or charge any damage caused.
The hotel also reserves the right to select its guests and refuse future accommodation to persons who breach any of these rules during their stay.
These house rules may change in order to adapt to applicable laws and recommendations of tourists, employees and collaborators, in order to provide maximum guarantee and safety to all people entering the hotel.
